HOPELESS HEATHROW

Reacting to the latest news that Heathrow will extend its passenger cap until late October, Geraldine Nicholson, Spokesperson for Stop Heathrow Expansion, said:

“Hopeless Heathrow can’t do the one thing it was designed to do – run an efficient airport. Imagine if how bad it could be with a third runway, having to cope with the huge increase in passengers as well?

“Heathrow is in chaos. Whether it is baggage piled high in the terminals, passenger charges through the roof, incredible levels of staff shortages or flights delayed and taking off well past midnight, it is no wonder that the airport’s main shareholder, Ferrovial, has mooted pulling its investment and other airlines are looking to put on more flights from other airports.

“This summer has, once again, shown Heathrow to be a national embarrassment. It is big enough and must never be allowed to expand.”
