STATEMENT FROM STOP HEATHROW EXPANSION

Ahead of the first day (1) of the case against the Government’s National Policy Statement on Heathrow, which runs at the High Court from 11-22 March, Geraldine Nicholson of Stop Heathrow Expansion, said:
“This is a big day in the fight to save our community from being flattened. No amount of money can replace schools, places of worships and homes which some residents have lived in all of their lives.
“We’re strongly supporting those taking legal action and have every confidence that once the evidence is presented, the case for Heathrow will unravel before the eyes of the judges”

The legal challenge is a rolled-up hearing, comprising of five parties, including:
London boroughs of Hillingdon, Hammersmith & Fulham, Wandsworth, Richmond, the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, Greenpeace UK and the Mayor of London
