John McDonnell MP chatting with Longford Village residents
John McDonnell - MP and Shadow Chancellor, was snapped here chatting with local villagers at the Longford Residents Association (LRA) meeting, that was held in the White Horse Pub on Sunday afternoon. The pub was built in Longford Village on the Old Bath Road in 1534. The beautiful ancient Longford Village in Southern Hillingdon seldom features in the news, yet it is the only village that would be totally wiped off the maps if the 3rd Runway were to ever go ahead. John McDonnell’s visit certainly boosted to local moral - as MPs and dignitaries are seldom ever seen in the beautiful village.
The Chairman of the Longford Residents Association also informed local villagers about the possible Extinction Rebellion protest that may start on Tuesday the 18th June 2019 (the same day that the Heathrow consultation begins). John McDonnell emphasised that the Extinction Rebellion have been asked to keep it a peaceful protest and not to use any drones. More information from Extinction Rebellion can be found at:-
