Day 13 - Visit to Kirby Misperton anti-fracking camp

On Easter Sunday, 16th April, Neil had a scheduled rest from walking but visited Kirby Misperton anti-fracking camp in North Yorkshire. The camp was set up in December 2016 by protestors against shale gas fracking just outside the village.

Neil was interested to hear what the protestors had to say and could contrast their experiences with those of the Grow Heathrow activists, who set up a camp against Heathrow's third runway and are still there seven years later.

It was officially a scheduled rest day but Neil felt good and couldn't resist walking for while - and ended up doing "a quick 10"! It's amazing how Neil has gone from strolling down to the pub to powering through ten miles without batting an eye. This was the first day with proper rain too.
