London Air Pollution Survey

London Air Pollution Survey

Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, has set out his intention to address poor air quality in the capital and gave us all the chance to complete a consultation survey – it closed on 29th July.

The Mayor has announced plans to introduce new measures, such as an extra charge on the most polluting vehicles, and expanding the Ultra Low Emission Zone beyond inner London, in order to improve the local environment and health of residents and visitors.

There are also proposals such as introducing a scrappage scheme for older cars and having more pedestrian-only days on London roads. Would you like your local high street to close to cars?

This survey included a place for comments, which gave a chance to raise issues such as the amount of freight and HGVs on our roads or come up with new ideas to tackle air quality problems.

We look forward to seeing the results.
